The Foundation for Montessori Education hosts an annual refresher course the first weekend in February (Saturday and Sunday) to lift our spirits and our minds. We are happy to invite all AMI diploma holders to join us.
The sensorial area allows children to take in information and make abstractions by seeing, touching, hearing, tasting and smelling. The actual architecture of the brain is formed as the child interacts with the sensorial materials and has the opportunity to compare, contrast, induce and deduce information. Join us for our 25th annual refresher as we explore how the Sensorial area of the Casa classroom not only prepares the child for the language and math areas, but also for reason, judgement, critical thinking, and life.
“The development of the senses actually precedes that of the higher intellectual faculties, and in a child between the ages of three and six it constitutes his formative period.”
