AMI 3-6 Orientation Course

Course Overview

The Orientation Course provides general information about Montessori Education with a more detailed overview of the child from 3-6 years of age. The course provides a solid foundation to those working in a Casa environment. It is also well suited to administrators, guides at other levels, or anyone wishing to know more about the child from 3- 6 years of age.

Online format

The course will be delivered 100% online. The course will consist of online lectures and discussions. There will also be 9 hours of independent observation required which can be done in any environment where there are children under the age of 6.

Dates

The course will be held from August 11 – 22, 2025. We will be online together Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Technical Requirements

Material and course work, as well as course communication, will be delivered using Google Classroom
The course requires access to the internet, a general ability to use computers and a willingness to use and learn Zoom and Google Classroom platforms

Course Work

The course will consist of lecture presentations, readings, discussions and various activities. In order to obtain the AMI 3-6 Orientation Certificate, participants are required to maintain 90% attendance, complete independent online learning, complete nine hours of observation and submit three written assignments.

Course Fee

The course fee is $1034.39 Canadian including Eventbrite administration fee.
